GREG DAUGHERTY MEMORIAL LAUNCH

The Spaceport Rocketry Association dedicated the October launch to our past President, Greg Daugherty. In memory of his fondness of “smoky” and “sparky” motors, those were the motors of the month. Thanks Greg for all you did for the club and its members for many years!


CLUB OFFICER ELECTION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Spaceport Rocketry Association, Inc. holds elections for Club Officers at the last launch of each year. This year's election will be held during a SRA Members Meeting after the December launch. The current officers have volunteered to remain on for another year if there are no other volunteers. Don't be bashful.

NOTE: Anyone interested in becoming the SRA Secretary/Treasurer please e-mail us for more information.


LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATION

Congratulations to Jonathan Holloway or successfully completing his Level 2 certification flight. Jonathan flew his Frenzy XL rocket on a Cesaroni K555 motor.


SRA OCTOBER COMPETITION RESULTS

This month's competition included Mini-Motor (13mm) Streamer and D Class Egg Loft Duration events. See this month's launch report for the standings and all of the scores.


SRA NOVEMBER COMPETITION NOTICE

November's competition will include LPR and HPR Open Class Spot Landing events. Details are posted on the Competition Page of the web site.

NEXT SCHEDULED LAUNCH

The next SRA launch is scheduled for Saturday November 18th, 2017. Equipment set-up begins at 10:00 with launches running from 11:00 until 4:00. The launch status is kept up-to-date on the Launch Status page of the web site.


OCTOBER 2017 LAUNCH REPORT

There were 10 fliers that made a total of 16 recorded flights. The total impulse for the flights was equivalent to a single L motor or 2853 single A motors.
