Low Power Rocketry

Spaceport Rocketry Association (NAR Section 342) formed in 1973 (originally named Orange Rocketeers) to promote rocketry activities in Orange County , Florida . We changed our name in 1991 to reflect our growing membership base in Central Florida (between 50 and 75 members annually). We support model (A-D motor) and Large model (E-G motor) rocketry activities.

Spaceport Rocketry Association

  • performs eleven model rocket launches a year including contests and fun flys

  • launches from an established site at Palm Bay in Brevard County , Florida

  • stages club "socials" where members gather to assemble rockets and trade tips and techniques with each other
